Over the last 40 years we searched, carefully selected and collected these often very funny and humoristic old leather puppets. They are now very rare findings.  
Our exclusive Collection features rather refined (=halus) and classical court pieces (=keraton) of Yogya and Solo but also the more primitive ones, manufactured often in smaller countryside villages. We actually really liked these for their typical javanese simplicity, natural basic creative energy and very individual graphic style.  
This very rare collection is one of our best collection. Ca. 50 -70 years old. Made of buffalo hide, hand engarving and original color.
